Food Security

It was in 2022 when I saw the need to enter the food value chain. We had experienced a record hikes in petrol and ⛽️ diesel prices.

A liter of petrol and diesel in 2012 used to cost R10 per liter and 5 liters back then would cost R50.00. Currently a liter of petrol costs R25 per liter.

After seeing the huge price hike in terms of the price of petrol I decided to join the till the soil campaign. This campaign was started by Lillian Senosi at Warrenton in the Northern Cape. The youth of Warrenton came up with the till the soil campaign by forming back yard Garden in order to address the food shortages in their community.

Till the soil campaign was a very good initiative that was started by the department of Northern Cape. The campaign deserved a lot of airplay.

We have a very serious food crises in our continent, one more reason I decided to join the food value chain by planting vegetables and selling them to the markets.

More than 30 countries in our continent have food crises. In Asia the countries that have food shortages are not more tha 6 and in Europe not more than two countries who have food insecurities.

South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ is not totally secured in terms of food supplies. As the prices of the food decreases according to the stats sa, not all households can afford the prices of food.

We at TLT Enterprise support the SRD grant relief by the Government. The poorest of the poor can’t even afford the basic of the basic food supplies. Some households resorts to skeeping meals to show how tough it it

Some poor citizens go to bed hungry. The reason for so much high dropouts it is because of hunger, children cannot concentrate on empty stomachs.

We believe at TLT Enterprise that if we can join forces and plant more vegetables and form a huge belt of collaboration in small gardens. Three times a day we could have proper meals.

Small backyard gardens must never underestimate the power of collaboration. We aim at assisting more women into establishing their gardens to help alleviate poverty in township and rural areas

We rally behind the mandate of the United Nations by empowering women into accessing the Mainstream economy as they are herding households.

Well that’s how I decided that we will be joining the food value chain at TLT Enterprise and we have never looked back http://www.unitednationshttp://newsletters.fao.org/k/Fao/markets and trade english giews world.

The New Chapter

Well it was my third year in 2010, when I sat my parents down and explained to them that I really wanted to pursue my entrepreneurial journey.

To tell you the truth, they also sat me down and explained to me that the journey I was intending was not an easy one.

Back then in 2008 I had a very successful gardening service and was doing quite great. I first started as an informal trade, I was a sole trader. In 2008 I met Moss Sereme who was just living in the same street as me.

Moss encouraged me to formalise my business and register with all the necessary departments for compliance sake.

I did as Moss asked me to do, till today I am thankfully for his advice. In 2008 I gave birth to My first registered company.

I learned through trial and error. I call trial and error the best teacher. Hope kept me in business when I had to close the chapter of my Gardening business in 2012.

The closing of my Gardening service business chapter led to the opening of another chapter of my farming Enterprise and events Enterprise.

Today my we are having a garden that is up and running and events company that leases mobile toilet 🚻 stretch Tent ⛺️ pole tents ⛺️

The new chapter to online visibility, new chapter to a more visible online presence, the new chapter to more long term contracts. New chapter to poverty alleviation, new chapter to proper nutrition in our society http://agriculturalwheez.wordpress.com
